The glorious NME posted their excitement on Facebook about Everything Everything coming out with a new album so I figured I should check them out. Now I understand their feelings and I've listened to the first single off the new album, Cough Cough, many times since hearing it yesterday.

So many concerts!
I have made quick work of finding live music here in my new English surroundings. As of tonight I have tickets for these awesome shows...
Off to London to see Robyn! This entire show is going to be a dance party to which I am planning on wearing an outfit with glitter and/or sequins.
That same weekend Missouri natives Ha Ha Tonka will be playing in London on their first European tour!
A few weeks later The Civil Wars will be bringing their perfect harmonies to Southampton. They're also bringing The Lumineers as an opening act who I have not seen before and should be great!
With Of Monsters and Men I have to wait until March but I'm excited nonetheless
to see them here in Portsmouth!
From what I can tell everything sells out a lot faster here than it did in St. Louis. So if I had been aware there would be quite a few more shows on this list! If anyone knows Mumford and Sons, Ben Howard, Frank Turner, Dry the River or Bastille and can hook me up with a ticket let me know!

Rob Ryan
In my search for affordable and fun things to decorate my walls with I have
purchased these two Rob Ryan gems. This first one is actually gift wrap but I'm going to frame some of it for an interesting print. Each of the bells has a quirky saying written on it.
Secondly I got this tea towel at a shop in Brighton although it will not be performing it's usual tea towel duties. Instead it will hang somewhere in my cozy room.
You can see more from Rob Ryan on his site. So many cute things!!

You look lovely
I got this cute print today from a poster shop in Portsmouth. It's from the Keep Calm Gallery in London. It's going on my bathroom door since, oddly enough, that's one of the first things you see when the door opens to my flat. Now just to find a lovely brass bird like the one in the photo!

Bastille - Flaws
Bastille is my first new music find since I moved here. I have been loving this song ever since I heard it on BBC 1 last week. I'm excited to see them in Brighton next month!

Plan B - She Said
Plan B, aka Ben Drew, is a very popular British artist who is not breaking in to America and he is not happy about it. He said, “I’m too white for the black radio stations and I’m too black for white radio stations so nobody knows where to place me.” He's gotten numerous awards for his album, The Defamation of Strickland Banks, which is definitely worth checking out. Give him a listen here.
(Also, you'll notice Skins' Kaya Scodelario as his crazed ex. Scodelario played Effy Stonem on the UK series first four seasons.)

The Isle of Knowledge - A Map
This clever map by Marian Bantjes was created for the UK illustration magazine, Varoom. The theme was knowledge and the map "refers somewhat to the "known" beyond which lie monsters." Mostly it just reminds me of the map from The Phantom Tollbooth.
