Wore It Deep (The Tree Ring) from Destin Cretton on Vimeo.
This is magical.
From FWBA: A few weeks back, the Tree Ring invited their friends to the Habitat House under one condition: they had to bring a lamp. They would then be apart of the video, flicking lights on cue and sitting cross-legged and quiet- like props themselves. The attic was transformed by the interplay between shadow and light, silhouettes moving slowly or not moving at all. The songs resolve was building with every light turned on, every body- witness to a holy thing, manifest in thousands of confetti bits, exploding from plastic cups and strings- re-interpreting snow in a foreign place. Imagining a winter wonderland for kid’s play, a new years’ countdown, a surprise birthday party- all with arms outstretched, to the sound of a violin winding you into the song’s end and the floor’s mess.
