Dead Man's Bones

Dead Man's Bones seems perfect for Halloween because they're kind of spooky all the time. Led by Ryan Gosling (you know, of Lars and The Real Girl and The Notebook) and often featuring choirs, many of them childrens choirs dressed up as little skeletons or zombies, Dead Man's Bones is definitely growing on me with every listen.

This is my favorite song so far. It's very appropriate for Halloween.

These guys came to Columbia a million times while I was at Mizzou and I never knew who they were. But now I realized I missed out!!! Doesn't this remind you of the O Brother Where Art Thou Soundtrack?

New York Times - When No One's Looking

From the New York Times: As an increasing number of runaway children are trying to survive on the streets, a group of teenagers in Medford, Ore., use a number of legal and illegal strategies to get by.

"The runaways spend much of their time avoiding the authorities because they assume the officials are trying to send them home. But most often the police are not looking for them as missing-person cases at all, just responding to complaints about loitering or menacing. In fact, federal data indicate that usually no one is looking for the runaways, either because parents have not reported them missing or the police have mishandled the reports."

Travis Pastrana

I've loved Travis Pastrana since I was in my early teen years. Since his show Nitro Circus has been on MTV the world has gotten weekly doses of his all american face for a while now. They've also gotten weekly doses of him almost dying all the time.

Here's Travis jumping out of a plane WITHOUT a parachute!!!

Invisible Children - Why We Want Obama

IC's most recent video on why we need to push Obama to make the arrest of Joseph Kony a priority. (Also, how dreamy is Laren Poole! (guy on the right) )

Seth Meyers on Jimmy Fallon

Seth Meyers (from SNL) and his brother Josh were on Jimmy Fallon recently to do some brother to brother trivia. They're both adorable and I want to be friends with them.
